Primal persuasion—polished to shine

Copywriting that turns browsers into buyersfor coaches, SaaS, and service businesses

The Right Fit

Coaches, creators, and service businesses who are tired of emails that get ignored.

Online coaches

You've got the expertise. You need the words that turn your audience into paying clients.

Course creators

Launch season is brutal. You need copy that builds hype, drives urgency, and closes — on deadline.

Service businesses

Your email list is an asset you're not using. Let's fix that and make it your most reliable revenue channel.

SaaS brands

Onboarding sequences, re-engagement campaigns, upgrade nudges — your product is good. Your emails should say so.

Not a fit if...

You're looking for the cheapest option, you want generic templated copy, or you're not serious about growing your list into a revenue engine. This isn't that.

Simple Process. Serious Results.

No back-and-forth nightmare. Just clean copy, delivered fast.

Step 1

Book a call

We get on a 30-minute call. You tell me where you're at, what you're selling, and where your emails are falling flat. I listen, ask the right questions, and tell you exactly what I'd do.

Step 2

I write, you review

I get to work in your brand voice — not mine, not a robot's. You get a first draft fast, with a Loom walkthrough so nothing is a mystery. We refine until it's right.

Step 3

You send, they buy

Polished copy hits your inbox. You send it to yours. Your subscribers read it, click it, and buy. That's the whole point — and it's exactly what this is built to do.

Behind The Copy

A real human who is actually invested in your results.

Obsidian Copy exists because most email copy is forgettable — and forgettable doesn't convert. I started this to do something different: write emails that actually sound like the person sending them, built around the psychology of what makes people act.I'm not an agency with 40 clients and a junior writer handling your account. When you work with Obsidian Copy, you work with me — directly. Your brand voice, your audience, your results. That's the deal.I built this business to operate with one non-negotiable: the work has to be good. Not good enough. Good.

No templates. Every sequence is written from scratch for your brand, your voice, your offer.Direct access. You talk to the person writing your copy. Always.Results-first. Pretty words that don't convert aren't copy — they're decoration. Everything here is written to perform.Fast turnaround. Your deadline is real. I treat it that way.

The proof

Don't take my word for it — read the work

Hey [First Name],
You signed up. That's not nothing. Most people spend months telling themselves they'll start — next Monday, after the holidays, when things calm down. You didn't do that. You're here now.I'm Jake. I've spent the last six years helping regular people (not athletes, not fitness obsessives — regular people with jobs and lives and bad weeks) build bodies they're actually proud of.Here's what's coming your way over the next few days:Tomorrow I'm sending you the exact framework I use with every new client — the reason most diets fail isn't willpower, it's this one thing almost nobody talks about.Day 3 I'll share the workout approach that finally worked for me after years of spinning my wheels in the gym.But first — one quick question. What's the #1 thing that's stopped you from getting results before? Hit reply and tell me. I read every one.Talk soon,
Jake

Hey [First Name],
I want to tell you about a guy named Marcus.Marcus came to me after his third failed attempt at losing weight. He'd done keto, he'd done intermittent fasting, he'd even hired a meal prep service. Lost some weight each time. Gained it all back.He thought the problem was discipline. It wasn't.The problem was that every approach he tried required his life to be perfect. No work travel. No social dinners. No bad weeks. And life is never perfect. Here's what I taught him instead: sustainability beats optimization every time.A plan that works 80% of the time, forever, destroys a perfect plan that falls apart after six weeks. Every time.Marcus is down 34 lbs. He still goes to happy hour on Fridays. He still ate pie at Thanksgiving. He just has a framework that bends without breaking. That's what I build for my clients.Tomorrow I'll show you what that framework actually looks like — the three levers I pull with every single person I work with.— Jake

Hey [First Name],
Alright — the framework I promised.Every client I work with, we focus on exactly three things:1. Calories, not food rules. You can eat what you like. We just make sure the math works. No villainizing bread. No swearing off sugar. Just awareness.2. Progressive training, not punishment. You shouldn't dread your workouts. We build up gradually, track progress, and make the gym feel like something you do for yourself — not something you survive.3. The identity shift. This is the one nobody talks about. We're not trying to make you lose weight. We're building someone who just lives this way. That's when it sticks.Simple? Yes. Easy? No. But it works — and it keeps working two years after we stop working together. If you want to build this with me, I have a few spots open for 1:1 coaching this month. No hard sell. If it's a fit, it's a fit. If it's not, these emails will keep coming and I'll keep giving you the good stuff for free.Interested? → [Book a free call]— Jake

Hey [First Name],
Your free guide is attached — but before you dive in, I want to say something. Most people download this, skim it, and go back to doing exactly what they were doing before. I don't want that for you.So here's what I'm going to do: over the next few days, I'm going to walk you through the three shifts that actually moved the needle for me — not the stuff that sounds good in Instagram captions, the stuff that changed how I work, think, and show up.I'm Clara. I built The Momentum Method after hitting a wall in my own business — good revenue, miserable pace, zero clarity on what I actually wanted. I've since helped hundreds of founders and coaches rebuild around what matters to them. One thing before you go: what made you download this today?Hit reply. Seriously. It takes 30 seconds and it helps me send you stuff that's actually useful — not just another email in a crowded inbox.Talk soon,
Clara
P.S. The guide works best if you read it somewhere quiet with a pen nearby. Just saying.

Hey [First Name],
Here's the thing about being a high achiever: you're really good at doing more.More tasks. More clients. More offers. More content. More hustle. And for a while, more works. Then one day you look up and you've built a business that runs your life instead of the other way around.I call it the productivity trap — and it's sneaky, because it disguises itself as success. The shift I had to make — and the one I see my clients make over and over — is moving from doing more to doing the right things.Sounds obvious. It isn't.Most people don't actually know which 20% of their work drives 80% of their results. They're just busy. Productively busy. Which is the most exhausting kind.Tomorrow I'm going to show you the exact exercise I use to find that 20% — and what to ruthlessly cut once you do.It'll take you 20 minutes and it'll probably make you a little uncomfortable. That's how you know it's working.— Clara

Hey [First Name],
The exercise is called a Revenue Reality Check. Here's how it works.Write down every task you did last week. Every meeting, every piece of content, every client call, every admin task. All of it.Next to each one, answer: did this directly generate revenue, or move me toward a goal that generates revenue?Be brutal. Most people find that 60–70% of their week is noise. Necessary-feeling noise. But noise. Now ask: what would happen if I cut the bottom half of this list?Probably nothing bad. Possibly something great. This is where we start in my coaching program — not with productivity hacks or morning routines, but with radical clarity on what your business actually needs from you.If you want to work through this together, I'm opening 4 spots in The Momentum Method this month. It's a 12-week 1:1 program for founders and coaches who are ready to build smarter, not just harder. You can read more and apply here → [link]No pressure. If you're not there yet, stay on the list — I'll keep sending the good stuff. But if something in these emails has been hitting different lately... it might be time.— Clara

Copywriter notes

What makes these work — swipe file notes

Email 1 always does two things
Acknowledge the action (they opted in) and set up what's coming. A good welcome email doesn't try to sell anything — it earns the next open. Notice both sequences end email 1 with a reply request. That reply trains the inbox algorithm and starts a real conversation.
Email 2 is the belief shift
This is where you dismantle the reason they haven't solved the problem yet — and reframe it. Jake's sequence tackles "it's a willpower problem." Clara's tackles "you just need to do more." One story, one reframe, one tease for what's next. No pitch.
Email 3 delivers value first, then sells
The framework or exercise comes before the offer. Always. If you lead with the pitch, you've broken the trust you built in emails 1 and 2. Give them something genuinely useful, then make the offer feel like a natural next step — not a hard sell.
Punchy = short paragraphs + white space
Notice: no paragraph is longer than 3 lines. Sentences vary in length — long, short, really short. That rhythm keeps people reading. One-line paragraphs are a tool, not a gimmick.
The P.S. is not an afterthought
People skim emails. Subject line, first line, P.S. — in that order. A strong P.S. either teases the next email, reinforces the CTA, or adds a human moment. Never waste it.
